Res3dinv x64 |
Res3dinvx64 ver. 3.00.04 Beta. This is the 64-bit version that overcomes the 2GB RAM limit of 32-bit Windows. It requires Windows XP-64, or 64-bit vesion of Windows Server 2003, or Vista 64-bit. This demo verson has a limit of 4 GB RAM usage, but the full version can use up to 8 GB RAM. It took slightly less than 10.5 hours to carry 6 iterations for the inversion of a data set from an area with significant topography with slighly more than 147,000 data points, 9300 electrode positions and 64,000 model cells on a 2.66GHz Quad-Core computer with 8GB RAM. |

The RES2DINV and RES3DINV will operate in a 'demo' mode if the computer does not have the necessary dongle. The RES2DINV and RES3DINV demo programs are provided to enable potential customters to test the softwares before making a purchasing decision. In some cases, the free demo version has proved to be sufficient for the needs of the user. This is viewed as a demonstration of the usefulness of the softwares. However, technical support is only available for registered users of the full version of the softwares. If you want to purchase a copy of the full software version, please contact Geotomo Software or one of the authorised software distributors.
Hardware key (dongle) software drivers
This software driver from Rainbow Technologies or Keylok is necessary for current registered users who are running the above programs with Windows NT/2000/XP. The driver is usually not needed for Windows 95/98/Me, but if there are problems in detecting the dongle (possibly due to other software drivers that reconfigure the parallel printer port) then use the driver for Windows 95/98/Me.

The types of dongles used by the RES2DINV and RES3DINV software. The Keylok USB dongle will be sent unless a request is made for the parallel port dongle.
Use of a dongle on a computer
without a parallel port
Many new notebook computers do not have a
parallel port but come with at least 2 USB ports. If you have one of
the old parallel port dongles, the solution is to replace the
parallel port dongle with a new USB dongle. Please contact
geotomo@tm.net.my on the procedure to exchange the dongle.
